The Kuwait Meteorological Department predicts a mix of cold weather and scattered rain over the upcoming weekend. According to Director Dharar Al-Ali, the country will be under the influence of a high-pressure system bringing a cold and dry air mass with northwesterly winds, gradually shifting to southeasterly winds by Friday afternoon as a low-pressure system takes over.

Thursday Weather

  • Daytime: Moderate to cold, light to moderate northwesterly winds (10–38 km/h), with high clouds. Maximum temperatures: 18–20°C.
  • Nighttime: Cold to very cold, partly cloudy, with light to moderate winds (8–28 km/h). Minimum temperatures: 7–9°C.

Friday Weather

  • Daytime: Moderate and partly cloudy to cloudy, with light to moderate southeasterly winds, sometimes active (12–40 km/h). Scattered rain, potentially thundery later in the day. Maximum temperatures: 20–22°C.
  • Nighttime: Cold to very cold, cloudy to partly cloudy, with occasional active winds and scattered rain, possibly thundery. Minimum temperatures: 10–12°C.

Saturday Weather

  • Daytime: Cool, with light to moderate northwesterly winds, sometimes active (12–45 km/h), with possible dust in exposed areas. Maximum temperatures: 17–19°C.
  • Nighttime: Cold to very cold, with light to moderate northwesterly winds (12–42 km/h). Minimum temperatures: 7–9°C.

Sea Conditions

Throughout the weekend, sea waves are expected to be light to moderate, sometimes rising between 2 and 6 feet, influenced by changing wind patterns.

Residents are advised to prepare for the cold nights and stay cautious during periods of thundery rain and potential dust on Saturday.
