A government source has confirmed to Al-Qabas that Kuwait will implement the global tax law starting January 1, 2025. The law is expected to be finalized before the end of this year, aligning with Kuwait’s commitment to international regulations.
Under the new law, a 15% tax will be imposed on qualifying companies operating outside Kuwait. These companies will be required to pay taxes within Kuwait, rather than in their countries of operation.
The source emphasized that this step reflects Kuwait’s adherence to global standards and is part of the state’s broader strategic plans to comply with international obligations.
