The Criminal Court, under the leadership of Judge Abdullah Al-Asimi, has sentenced two Iranian nationals and a Bedoun resident to death for smuggling 160 kilograms of hashish. The case highlights a major crackdown on drug trafficking in the region.
During an earlier court session, the defendants confessed to transporting the drugs by sea from Abadan, Iran, using a rented cruiser acquired from local fishermen. Their plan to dispose of the narcotics was thwarted when they were intercepted by drug enforcement officers.
