Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has announced free public parking across all areas on Wednesday, January 1, 2025, to mark the New Year holiday. However, multi-storey parking facilities will remain paid. Paid parking will resume on Thursday, January 2, 2025.
This update aligns with RTA’s operating hours for services during the New Year holidays, covering metro, tram, buses, and marine transport services.
Key Updates for New Year’s Holiday 2025
1. Dubai Metro and Tram:
- Dubai Metro: Nonstop service from 5 AM, December 31, 2024, until the end of January 1, 2025.
- Dubai Tram: Operating from 6 AM, December 31, 2024, until 1 AM, January 2, 2025.
2. Public Buses:
- Suspended Routes:
- Route E100 from Al Ghubaiba Bus Station to Abu Dhabi.
- Route E102 from Al Jafiliya Bus Station to Shabiya Musaffah.
- Alternative Routes:
- Use Route E101 from Ibn Battuta Bus Station for both destinations.
3. Marine Transport:
- Water Taxi and Dubai Ferry Services: Operating at adjusted timings, offering tourist trips and inter-emirate routes.
- Abras and Tourist Services: Scheduled trips along Dubai Creek, Marina, and the Water Canal.
4. Customer Service Centres:
- All RTA-affiliated service providers and Customer Happiness Centres will be closed on January 1, 2025, and will resume regular hours on January 2, 2025.
