Authorities in Ahmadi Governorate are on the hunt for a suspect involved in a robbery and hit-and-run incident targeting an expatriate. The victim was reportedly walking home when approached by an individual who falsely identified himself as a detective. The impersonator requested the victim’s ID, prompting the latter to retrieve his wallet. Taking advantage of the situation, the suspect forcefully snatched the wallet, which contained 68 dinars.
When the victim protested and attempted to contact the Ministry of Interior, the suspect escalated the situation. In a shocking act, he ran over the victim with his vehicle before fleeing the scene. The victim sustained multiple fractures from the deliberate hit-and-run and was rushed to Al-Adan Hospital for urgent medical care.
Local authorities have categorized the case as mugging and intentional harm and have launched a comprehensive investigation to apprehend the suspect. Law enforcement agencies are urging the public to report any suspicious activity and to verify credentials in such encounters.
