Sheikh Zayed Road in Ajman will undergo partial closures starting tomorrow (Monday, January 6) due to ongoing development projects in the emirate. Ajman Police confirmed that areas such as Al Helio, Al Amera, and Hamidiyah Park will experience disruptions, with traffic redirected to nearby routes. The exact reopening date remains unclear, but the project aims to enhance traffic flow and infrastructure in the area.
In a separate development, Abu Dhabi’s Department of Municipality and Transport, in partnership with the Integrated Transport Centre, inaugurated two new bridges on Al Khaleej Al Arabi Street and Shakhbout Bin Sultan Street. These bridges are designed to alleviate traffic congestion, reducing delays by up to 80% during peak hours. Each bridge has five lanes and is equipped with dedicated lanes for cyclists and pedestrians. The new infrastructure will particularly benefit travelers heading towards Zayed International Airport, Musaffah, and Hudayriyat Island.
