Recently, there has been a noticeable rise in the approval rate of UAE visit visas, thanks to more applicants adhering to the legal requirements and submitting complete documents. Travel industry experts suggest that the key factors contributing to this surge include growing awareness about visa regulations, coupled with stricter enforcement and education campaigns by authorities and travel agencies. Applicants are now more vigilant about submitting all necessary documents, including return air tickets, proof of accommodation, and adequate funds to cover their stay.
In the past, many visit visa applications were rejected due to incomplete paperwork. However, with the enhanced focus on compliance, more people are securing approvals. A report from Sheras Sharaf, operations manager at Arab World Tourism, noted a significant increase of 5-6% in visa approvals during the final quarter of 2024, compared to the typical quarterly increase of just 1-2%. Rikin Sheth, assistant vice president at Musafir.com, added that travel agencies have been proactive in guiding customers to provide genuine documents like flight tickets and accommodation details, which has played a role in boosting the approval rates.
This uptick in visit visa approvals is closely tied to the growing number of tourists, particularly from wealthier nations. Dubai’s appeal as a destination is especially strong during events like the Dubai Shopping Festival, leading to increased travel bookings. However, applicants are urged to ensure all their documents are in order to avoid the risk of rejection, particularly during peak seasons.
