During a late-night raid, the Hawalli Monitoring Team of the Salmiya Center, operating under Kuwait’s Ministry of Commerce and Industry, uncovered a warehouse in Hawalli Governorate selling counterfeit perfumes falsely labeled with international brand names.
The operation, led by Faisal Al-Ansari, Director of Commercial Control, involved collaboration with the Tripartite Committee, manpower officials, and inspectors from the General Fire Department. Following the discovery of violations, authorities documented the infractions and issued a seizure report, initiating legal proceedings against the company by referring it to the Commercial Prosecution. Fire brigades also immediately sealed the warehouse due to non-compliance with health and safety regulations.
The Ministry reiterated its firm stance against violations, emphasizing its ongoing efforts to protect consumers and uphold market integrity. This operation is part of a broader campaign to combat commercial fraud and maintain public trust in the marketplace.
