Iran has expressed its readiness to collaborate with Saudi Arabia in the field of Information and Communications Technology (ICT) as part of efforts to bridge gaps between the two nations. In a meeting held in Tehran, Iranian ICT Minister Seyed Sattar Hashemi and Saudi Ambassador Abdullah bin Saud Al-Ansi discussed the importance of enhancing cooperation in various sectors.
Hashemi highlighted potential areas for collaboration, including communication infrastructure, e-government initiatives, and cybersecurity. He emphasized Iran’s willingness to share its scientific and technological expertise with Saudi Arabia. The Saudi ambassador welcomed these discussions, underscoring the importance of developing stronger bilateral ties.
These talks follow a January meeting between the Iranian Justice Minister and the Saudi Ambassador. Iran and Saudi Arabia officially resumed diplomatic relations in April 2023, marking a positive step towards improving cultural, economic, and political cooperation.
