Sharjah has officially launched its innovative smart parking system, utilizing artificial intelligence for a seamless experience. The system, which started yesterday, automatically manages the opening of parking gates and payment processes. When a vehicle enters the parking area, the AI camera captures the vehicle’s number plate and sends an alert to the owner’s linked mobile number. Through the Mawqef app, motorists can easily make parking payments using an e-wallet or credit card.
The service offers flexible payment options, allowing users to reserve and pay for parking on an hourly, daily, weekly, monthly, or annual basis. The smart parking service is now operational, streamlining parking and payment processes in Sharjah.
