The Ministry of Interior has announced that new traffic fines will be enforced starting April 22, in accordance with the updated traffic law.
The ministry emphasized that wearing a seatbelt can reduce the risk of death and severe injuries by up to 50% in the event of an accident.
The revised regulations follow Decree-Law No. (5) of 2025, which amends specific provisions of Decree-Law No. 67 of 1976 related to traffic. The decree was officially issued on January 19 and will be enforced three months after its publication in the Official Gazette.
