Air India Express has launched a daily direct flight service between Mangaluru International Airport (MIA) and Delhi International Airport, enhancing travel connectivity for passengers in Karnataka. The inaugural flight, IX 1552, took off from Mangaluru at 6:40 am on February 1, arriving in Delhi at 9:35 am, while flight IX 2768 flew the opposite route. The first passengers were greeted with a water cannon salute at Mangaluru Airport.
This new service complements an existing evening flight operated by IndiGo, offering two direct daily flights between Mangaluru and Delhi. Air India Express’s new route aims to reduce travel time and provide more travel options, benefiting business, leisure, and transit passengers. This move is part of the airline’s ongoing efforts to meet growing regional demand and strengthen trade, tourism, and education connections.
