Saudi Arabia Bans Children from Accompanying Pilgrims for Hajj 2025

Riyadh: The Saudi Arabian Ministry of Hajj and Umrah has announced that children will not be allowed to accompany pilgrims for the 2025 Hajj season. The decision aims to ensure the safety of children amid the heavy crowds that gather during the annual pilgrimage. As in previous years, priority will be given to individuals who have not yet performed Hajj.

Hajj Registration and Guidelines

Registration for Hajj 2025 has already commenced for Saudi residents and nationals, who can apply via the official website or the Nusuk app. Applicants must submit health information and, if traveling with family members, provide their details as well. Additionally, those seeking to add companions or request a waiver for the mahram requirement must submit an application through the platform.

Key Dates and Deadlines

The Hajj pilgrimage for 2025 is scheduled to take place from June 4 to June 9. The deadline for finalizing agreements related to Hajj arrangements is February 14. The Saudi Ministry of Hajj has emphasized that all agreements must be completed before this date, as no extensions will be granted. Agreements with Hajj Affairs offices in different countries must be processed through the “Nusuk Mazar” platform.
