Sharjah’s New Initiative: Affordable Yet High-Quality Education for All

Sharjah is set to redefine school education by creating a cost-effective yet high-standard educational model. Authorities have announced that the upcoming 4th Sharjah International Summit on Education Improvement, scheduled for the 23rd and 24th of this month, will serve as a platform to discuss this initiative in depth.

Currently, schools in Sharjah offer significantly lower tuition fees compared to Dubai, particularly for British and American curricula. While Dubai is known for its premium schools with cutting-edge facilities, Sharjah has maintained more affordable options, with tuition fees typically ranging 30 to 50 percent lower than Dubai. The summit aims to explore innovative strategies that will further reduce educational costs while ensuring excellence in learning outcomes.

Educational experts and policymakers will come together at the summit to discuss global best practices, sustainable models, and cost-effective schooling strategies. The key focus will be on how international education systems have successfully reduced expenses without compromising quality.

According to Wajdi Manai, Chairman of the Scientific Committee and Senior Advisor for Innovation and Advancement in Education at the Sharjah Private Education Authority, the summit will examine successful educational models from different countries. The discussions will help in understanding how Sharjah can adapt modern learning techniques to make quality education more accessible and affordable.

The initiative will explore various innovative solutions, including technology-driven education, enhanced operational efficiency, and public-private partnerships. These approaches aim to lighten the financial burden on students and parents while maintaining high academic standards.

The summit will bring together around 200 education experts from over 30 countries, featuring more than 35 panel discussions and 140 workshops. Topics will include innovative teaching methodologies, the future of education, and sustainable learning practices.

This initiative marks a significant step in transforming Sharjah into a model for cost-effective yet high-quality education, setting a benchmark for other regions looking to make education both accessible and world-class.
