A female resident was arrested at Abdali Port while attempting to smuggle $250,000 out of the country, according to a responsible source from the General Administration of Customs.
The source told Al Rai that customs officers, while monitoring passengers, noticed the woman behaving suspiciously in the customs area, appearing as though she was hiding something under her clothing.
Upon inspection, officials discovered the concealed cash, and the woman was immediately taken into custody. She did not disclose the source or purpose of the money and has been referred to the relevant authorities for further investigation and legal action.
