Abu Dhabi: The UAE has expanded its Visa on Arrival program for Indian citizens. Effective from February 13, Indian nationals residing in six additional countries can now avail this facility.
Indian citizens with a valid visa, residency permit, or green card from Singapore, Japan, South Korea, Australia, New Zealand, or Canada are eligible for the UAE Visa on Arrival.
Who is eligible for the on-arrival visa?
Indian citizens holding an ordinary passport, along with a valid visa or residency permit from any of the six above-mentioned countries, can apply for the visa on arrival in the UAE. However, the passport must be valid for at least six months from the intended date of travel.
Visa Fees:
- 14-day visa: Dh100
- Extension (another 14 days): Dh250
- 60-day visa: Dh250
How to Apply for a UAE Visa on Arrival
Application via GDRFA Dubai:
- Visit: gdrfad.gov.ae and click ‘Login’.
- Select ‘Register with Email’ to create an account. Enter your personal details, and an OTP will be sent to your email. Enter it and complete registration.
- Log in with your new credentials. On the dashboard, click ‘New Application’ and select ‘Visa on Arrival for Indian Citizens’.
- Fill out the application with your passport and visa details, then upload the required documents.
- Review and submit the application. You will receive the visa via email within 48 hours.
Application via ICP (Identity & Citizenship):
- Visit: smartservices.icp.gov.ae and click on ‘Public Visa Services’.
- Locate and click on ‘Issue Entry Permit for Holders of Special Visas’.
- Fill in the required personal details such as passport number and visa information.
- Provide your UAE address (hotel or residential).
- Upload your passport copy and visa/residence permit and submit. You will receive your visa via email within 48 hours after processing.
For Emirates Passengers:
If you are flying with Emirates Airlines, you can benefit from the pre-approved Visa-on-Arrival service. This service allows eligible Indian nationals to bypass immigration queues in Dubai. Simply apply for the Visa-on-Arrival Entry Permit through the ‘Manage Your Booking’ section on emirates.com.
