Biometric System Exposes Deported Expats Using Forged Identities in Kuwait

Kuwait’s Ministry of Interior has successfully implemented biometric fingerprinting, uncovering hundreds of cases of deported expatriates re-entering the country with forged identities. Security sources revealed that many of these individuals, particularly domestic workers and drivers from Asian countries, had been expelled decades ago but managed to return using falsified passports and new names.

Previously, these individuals could renew their residency and move freely without detection. However, with biometric fingerprinting, authorities have exposed discrepancies, blocking their records due to irregular residency renewals. Some violators even altered their fingerprints through surgery or burning in an attempt to evade identification.

The General Department of Criminal Evidence and Identity Investigation played a key role in identifying these fraudsters. Officials confirmed that anyone caught using false identities will face immediate deportation, regardless of how long they have stayed in Kuwait or whether their residency is valid. No exceptions will be made for violators.
