The Saudi National Center of Meteorology (NCM) has issued a warning for continued heavy rainfall across several regions of Saudi Arabia until Thursday, February 20. Areas including Riyadh, Hail, Al Qassim, the Eastern Province, the Northern Borders, Mecca, and Medina will experience rain. The NCM has also noted the potential for moderate rainfall, sandstorms, and flooding in the Makkah region. Hail is expected in the governorates of Taif, Maysan, Adam, Al Ardiyat, Al Muwaih, Qurmah, Raniyyah, Turuba, Bahra, Al Jumum, Khulais, and Al Kamil.
Light rain is anticipated in most of Al Baha’s governorates until Tuesday, with similar conditions in Riyadh, Al Qassim, Hail, Najran, the Eastern Province, Medina, the Northern Borders, and Al Jaf, alongside the possibility of sandstorms. Strong winds, ranging from 40-49 km/h, are forecast for Jeddah, Shuaiba, and Al Leith, causing reduced visibility and rough seas, which may disrupt maritime activities.
The NCM urges the public to stay updated through official communication channels and adhere to guidance from relevant authorities. The center also advises caution when driving, avoiding flood-prone areas, and following official safety instructions.
