Kuwait’s Ministry of Interior and the General Fire Force have announced full preparedness for the upcoming national holidays and the holy month of Ramadan. Authorities are implementing a strategic plan to ensure public safety, effective crowd management, and fire prevention measures during celebrations and religious gatherings.
National Holiday Celebrations: Security and Fire Safety Measures
Brigadier Ali Al-Ustadh, Director of the Public Security Sector Operations Department, stated that 23 fixed security points have been established across all governorates, particularly in areas with large gatherings. The National Days Celebrations Committee has designated Gulf Street and Kuwait Towers as key locations for air shows and fireworks.
Security personnel will be stationed along highways, in major gathering spots such as Arabian Gulf Street, the Scientific Center, Bneid Al-Qar, and Al-Julai’a, ensuring rapid response to any incidents. Additionally, government agencies will collaborate to provide a comprehensive security and emergency response system at each major point.
Brigadier General Mohammed Al-Gharib, Director of Public Relations at the General Fire Force, confirmed that 18 fire safety points have been set up at celebration sites, with rapid intervention teams on standby. The prevention sector has also conducted inspection campaigns to ensure compliance with fire safety protocols. Authorities have urged the public to refrain from using fireworks due to the risk of fires and injuries.
Ramadan Preparations: Ensuring Worshippers’ Safety
As part of preparations for Ramadan, authorities are focusing on securing mosques and Ramadan prayer halls, which will witness a high density of worshippers. The General Fire Force’s prevention sector has conducted extensive inspections to verify the functionality of fire safety equipment and ensure fire prevention measures are in place.
With full coordination between security and fire departments, Kuwait aims to ensure a safe and smooth experience for both the National Day celebrations and the holy month of Ramadan. Authorities continue to emphasize public cooperation in adhering to safety guidelines.
