Kuwait College of Science and Technology (KCST), in partnership with the United Nations and UNESCO, is organizing the first International Conference and Forum on Assistive Technologies for Special Needs (ATSN) on December 9 and 10, 2024, under the theme “Artificial Intelligence in the Service of Equality and Inclusion.” This pioneering event, the first of its kind in the region, aims to advance research and development in technologies designed to empower people with special needs, focusing on innovations for individuals with disabilities.

The conference is held under the patronage of Dr. Amthal Al-Huwaila, Minister of Social Affairs, Family, and Childhood Affairs, with support from the Kuwait Foundation for the Advancement of Sciences (KFAS). The event will feature:
- Key Speakers: Chaired by prominent figures such as Ghada Al-Taher, UN Representative in Kuwait, Salah Khaled, Director of the UNESCO Office in Qatar, and Professor Khaled Al-Baqeen, KCST President.
