As Dubai prepares for a dazzling New Year’s Eve celebration to ring in 2025, authorities have announced comprehensive plans to ensure a safe, smooth, and unforgettable experience. Here’s everything you need to know:


Key Highlights

  • 10,000 security personnel deployed for safety.
  • 200 ambulances and 1,800 medical staff on standby, supported by 10 hospitals.
  • 36 fireworks locations set to light up the night sky.

Parking and Transportation

  • Additional Parking:
    Over 20,000 parking spaces have been arranged at key locations, including Dubai Mall, Zabeel, and Emaar Boulevard.
    • Alternative Parking:
      • Al Wasl Club: 500 spaces
      • Al Jaffiliya: 400 spaces
    • Shuttle buses will operate from 3 PM, transporting visitors to main celebration zones.
  • Metro and Tram Timings:
    • Dubai Metro: Operates continuously from 5 AM on December 31 until the end of January 1.
    • Dubai Tram: Runs from 6 AM on December 31 until 1 AM on January 2.
    • Important: The Dubai Mall Metro Station closes at 5 PM on December 31. Plan to arrive early.
  • Footbridge Closures:
    Dubai Water Canal Footbridge and elevators will close at 4 PM.

Road Closures

Major road closures begin at 4 PM on December 31:

  • Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Boulevard
  • Financial Centre St (Lower Deck)
  • Al Mustaqbal St
  • Burj Khalifa St
  • Al Asayel Road (from Oud Metha Road to Burj Khalifa)
  • Al Sukuk St: Closed from 8 PM.
  • Upper Level of Financial Road: Closed from 8 PM.
  • Sheikh Zayed Road: Gradual closures start at 11 PM.

Advice: Use Metro stations with parking facilities such as Centrepoint, Etisalat e&, and Jebel Ali.
