Qatar Introduces Direct Vehicle Import Policy for Individuals

The Ministry of Commerce and Industry in Qatar has unveiled a new policy that allows individuals to import vehicles directly from companies, bypassing the need to go through dealerships. However, the vehicle’s warranty and after-sales services must be provided by the company or dealer, and spare parts must be readily available, with the company responsible for this. Additionally, the vehicle must adhere to Gulf standards to be eligible for import into Qatar. This move is designed to simplify the process for residents wishing to bring their own vehicles into the country.
