The UAE is experiencing a cool and rainy Sunday, with a yellow alert issued due to the possibility of a sea storm. According to the National Center for Meteorology, the day will be partly cloudy, especially in the islands and some northern regions, with light to moderate winds. Dust clouds are also expected at times, posing a hazard to drivers, particularly those with respiratory conditions.
Winds will range from 10 to 25 km/h, occasionally gusting up to 40 km/h. Light rain is likely throughout the day, and temperatures may reach a high of 26-27°C. In Abu Dhabi and Dubai, temperatures will rise to 22-27°C, while the interior of Abu Dhabi could see a drop to 16-17°C. Temperatures in the interior of Dubai and Ghaziabad are also expected to be cooler, with lows of 17°C and 7°C, respectively.
The yellow alert remains in effect until 8 p.m. today due to potential sea turbulence, with conditions in the Arabian Gulf and the Sea of Oman becoming moderate to rough. Tonight and tomorrow morning, humidity will rise in some interior areas, with the possibility of fog formation.
In Ras Al Khaimah, light rain fell in the mountainous areas, including Jebel Jais, Sayh Al Araibi, and Al Daith. The lowest temperature recorded was 4.7°C at 6:30 a.m. on Mount Jais.
