Kuwait City: In a significant crackdown on drug trafficking, the General Department of Drug Control, under the Criminal Security Sector, has arrested eight suspects, including four citizens and four stateless individuals, across multiple regions of the country.
Seized Items:
- 50 kg of hashish
- 25,000 Lyrica capsules
- 5 kg of methamphetamine
- 1 kg of chemical substances
- 2,000 Captagon tablets
- Two electronic scales and a quantity of empty bags
With an estimated street value of 220,000 KWD, the seized narcotics represent a major blow to drug distribution networks. The suspects and confiscated items have been referred to the Drugs and Alcohol Prosecution Office for further legal action.
The General Department for Combating Drugs has reiterated its commitment to intensifying anti-drug operations, ensuring public safety, and protecting society from the dangers of narcotics.
